There is so many things to do and to see while in Washington DC, I don't think it's likely you can see all of it in just one trip! If you like museums you must visit The Smithsonian Institution Building where you can pick up a map and information on all of the museums. Here are just a few: Smithsonian Institution Building, Smithsonian Arts and Industries Building, Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum , Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Smithsonian Freer Gallery , Smithsonian Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Natural History Museum, Smithsonian American History Museum, Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian and there are many more to see.
What trip to Washington DC would be complete without a tour of the National Monuments and Memorials, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, Iwo Jima Memorial, DC War Memorial, African American Civil War Memorial and Museum, U. S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington Monument and the World War II Memorial are just a few must sees while in DC.
If your traveling with your family the children may want to go to the National Zoo, or explore Discovery Theater, there is also Glen Echo Park, Wolf Trap Farm Park or my favorite Six Flags America.
So remember when Traveling to Washington DC you will probably need a well thought out plan if you want to take it all in, well you will probably need multiple trips to DC.
